LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Banner_life.jpg

Life skills development may come from your Capacity Building, Improved Daily Living or your Core budget.

It`s a broad area and it really is up to you to decide what you would like to do to progress towards your goals. If you are already working with therapists of your choice then we can work with them or alternatively we can support you to connect with the right therapists based on your goals.

To support your improvement, and with your permission, we will communicate with your therapists so that we can practice your agreed strategies around your speech, social, emotional and practical, daily life behaviours – with practice and a strengths based approach you will feel more in control and the improvements will follow.

Your life skills development may be more practical, you may want support to get organised, learn to use transport confidently, build your computer skills, get ready for work applications or volunteering or study a course – we can support you through all or any of these areas.

We help you develop practical living skills that grow your independence, we remain committed, extremely encouraging, very optimistic and we believe in you! Our support workers come with a varied skill base, some of them are teachers and some of them have experience across business, planning and organisation, we will always be able to find a good balance between the right care and the right skills for you.

Support is based around individual needs and goals.

By coaching you around your goals & strategies we will help you;

  • Handle money, pay bills & budget.

  • Be organised, arrange appointments and plan everyday tasks.

  • Socialise and build relationships.

  • Be proactive across your schedules and plans.

  • Use digital platforms to improve your daily life.
